Tue Apr 8, 2008, 12:28 AM
My site's up sooner that I thought it would be thanks to my ladyfriend and a helpful web instructor.

I'm afraid this may be the death of my deviantart page. I think i'll leave it up for archival purposes though.

Anyways, for those interested in seeing updates, you can check out www.edkwong.com or blog.edkwong.com to see sketches and progress.

WOO!!

  • Mood: Relief
  • Listening to: CBC radio
  • Reading: 100 Bullets
  • Eating: Vicki's mom's awesome spring rolls
  • Drinking: water

Awww... that's not cool. DA is convenient for me because I only have to visit one site to keep up with several artists.

Oh well. Do what you've got to do.

I agree with the Pancake man. Coming back every now and then just to even do an art dump will get you a lot of exposure and traffic. In your descriptions just say "for more go to edkwong.com" or whatever. I see a lot of people doing it and they're still as popular as ever.

Great site, very clean and minimal. It's kinda similar to a design I had in mind for my own site revamp

Totally understand where you're coming from in terms focusing your output there. These days it's so easy to have a blog here, a journal there, a showcase some place else... it's good for exposure though. Just makes it hard to update them all!

Good work on the page!

But as for Deviantart, you may find that most people are inclined to traffic here (were they can communicate with greater immediacy with you, your work and those who also like your work) than a static website...

Your website is your house. Your Deviantart page is your store in the mall. :-)

hah well put. ahh i shall be back and forth then.
